Control who can view, edit, download, or share files and PDFs.
Inheritance
Access usually inherits from the workspace and, for project files, from the project membership. A guest who is not on the project will not see its Files tab.
Document module
Folder and file sharing in personal Document uses explicit shares. Inside a team, rely on membership and folder structure.
Sharing a PDF gives others Shared with me access. Do not send unrestricted public links if your organization forbids it.
External sharing
External document sharing is a paid feature. Export and download still follow plan limits (PDF export on Pro+).
Good practice
Share the smallest folder that people need. Remove access when a contractor leaves. Do not put passwords in the file name or a public ticket.
